
RAPID ACCESS PATHWAY/ RAPID ACCESS AND STABILIZATION PROGRAM
Purpose
RAP (Rapid Access Pathway) offers patients that live in the Eastern, Northern, and Western Zones timely access to psychiatry consultation and the benefit of early input from a psychiatrist for the diagnosis and management of their mental health difficulties.
RASP (Rapid Access and Stabilization Program) offers patients that live in the Central Zone similar timely access to psychiatry consultation. In addition, central zone patients, may enroll in the Text4Support program which is a text messaging program that is free and is based on principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Eligibility
Any Nova Scotia Resident referred by a physician
How to access
Referral is made by a Primary care Practitioner (Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician at a walk-in clinic that agrees to provide follow-up). The primary care provider will send the referral to Central Intake who will then do a phone call Intake assessment with the patient.
