THE REVIEW PROCESS

Before considering the inclusion of any employer, the Trustees must evaluate whether the employer aligns with the overarching mission and values of the Plan.

The design of any prospective employer’s disability program must be similar to the design of the Plan.

The review process depends on the size of the prospective employer relative to the covered population of the Plan.
THINGS TO CONSIDER

past and current claims will not be transferred to the Plan
-
if determined an actuarial analysis is required, the cost will be borne by the employer
-
the Plan will only provide the same benefits to new employers as those currently provided to existing Plan members
